Five years ago I completed my graduation in IT 🙂 In India, 15th September is celebrated as the “The Engineers Day” and I am proud of being the part of it! Well, many jokes are cracked all around the world about all kinds of profession and then how could this possible that we do not consider “The Engineers” 😀 😛
My doodle itself shows a mimic that how an engineer would propose his Girlfriend? 😉 The clue is there only! 🙂 Thank you very much for giving us such an honour 😉 We are so intelligent! 🙂
Well, jokes apart, The Engineers’ Day is celebrated in India on the birth anniversary of the great Indian engineer, Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya (Vishweshwaraya), who was born on 15, September 1860
He was a civil engineer. He graduated from the College of Engineering in Pune and was the chief designer of the flood protection system of Hyderabad in Telangana and chief engineer of the Krishna Raja Sagara Dam in Mysore. He played a key role in developing a system to protect Visakhapatnam port from sea erosion. He founded The Mysore Soap Factory, The Mysore Iron & Steel Works in Bhadravathi, The Parasitoid Laboratory, The Sri Jayachamarajendra Polytechnic Institute, The Bangalore Agricultural University, The State Bank of Mysore, The Century Club, Mysore Chambers of Commerce, University Visvesvaraya college of Engineering, Bangalore and many other industrial ventures.
